SCBA Squad Calc Privacy Policy

SCBA Squad Calc (the "App", published in Russian as "ГДЗС: расчёты") is a
training calculator for iOS: it computes
gas and smoke protection service (GDZS) squad parameters for work in breathing
apparatus using the methodology of EMERCOM of Russia Order No. 640 of 27 June
2022, and shows the worked solution. All computation happens on your device.
This Privacy Policy explains, plainly, what the App does and does not do with
data. The App is provided by Sergey Makarov (the "Developer"). Questions:

Summary

The App works fully offline. It collects no personal data, has no user
accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, and no tracking. The
Developer runs no server that receives your data. The App makes no network
connections on its own. The only time anything opens outside the App is when
you tap the "Open the source" link on the methodology screen, which opens the
normative document's text in your web browser - see section 3.

1. What the App does on your device

- Calculations: pressures, squad composition, switch-on time and results are
  processed on your device. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
- Journal: the App stores completed calculations (inputs, result and time) on
  your device only. You can delete entries at any time.
- Apparatus: apparatus you add and their specifications are stored on your
  device only.
- Settings: your appearance choice, pressure units, edits to the k and Q
  coefficients and your "verified by you" marks are stored on your device.

This data never leaves your device. The Developer never receives it.

2. What the Developer does not collect

The Developer does not collect, receive, store, or transmit:

- the pressures you enter, squad composition, calculation results, or the
  journal;
- your contacts, files, location, or device identifiers;
- usage analytics, telemetry, or crash reports sent to the Developer;
- any account information - the App has no accounts and no sign-in.

The App contains no advertising and no third-party tracking or analytics
software.

3. Network

On its own the App makes no network connections: the calculations, formulas
and apparatus specifications are bundled inside the App and need no internet.

The methodology screen offers an "Open the source" link. If you tap it, the
App opens the page with the normative document's text in your web browser.
Nothing beyond that page's address is passed along, and the request is made by
your browser, not the App. What the source website does with the visit is
governed by its own privacy policy. If you never tap that link, the App makes
no network connections.

4. If you obtained the App from the App Store

Apple distributes the App and handles any purchases and updates. Apple may
collect information about that under Apple's own Privacy Policy at
https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/. The Developer does not receive your
identity from Apple; at most the Developer sees aggregate, non-identifying App
Store statistics.

5. A note about results

The App is a training tool for practice and self-checks. Data and formulas are
shown as-is and require your own verification; calculation results are for
training and are not meant for use in real emergencies or outside training
self-checks.

6. Your rights

The Developer holds no personal data about you, so in most cases there is
nothing for the Developer to access, correct, export, or delete. The data you
create with the App - the calculation journal, your own apparatus, coefficient
edits - is on your device and under your control; you can view or delete it
yourself at any time.

7. Children

SCBA Squad Calc is a specialized training tool and is not directed at
children.

8. Changes to this policy

The Developer may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App or
in applicable law. The effective date above shows when the current version
took effect.
